Haut Languedoc Property Services is owned and managed by Pauline Giles B.A. (Hons) A.H.S.M. Pauline worked extensively in operational management in the U.K. and management consultancy internationally before relocating to France 20 years ago. She lives in the Haut Languedoc with her French husband and bi-lingual children and has been running a successful guest house, Les Quatr’ Farceurs, in the medieval village of Olargues for many years. She has served extensively on tourist boards and management bodies of tourist advisory agencies in the area in order to share her expertise with people wishing to penetrate the local tourism market. Les Quatr’ Farceurs was the first guest house to open in Olargues and she has done much to promote the tourist industry locally whilst working with local business people to maintain the best of French rural standards in the face of encroaching globalisation.
Pauline opened her property management agency five years ago. She has a portfolio of 25 regular clients for whom she provides consultancy, property management and advisory services. She has also personally selected a small number of properties to promote and manage for rental to clients wishing to discover this unspoilt and authentic area of France.
Quality and personal service are watchwords for Pauline and her team and therefore she will only add to her rental portfolio if she believes that standards will not be compromised by taking on an additional property.
Pauline is helped by a small group of French and expatriate local residents to provide a quality service to guests who choose to select one of the rental properties. She is keen to promote inexpensive rentals for people on a budget, as well as middle range properties for families or small groups. She also has good links with local tradesmen to ensure that any maintenance problems are dealt with efficiently and rapidly. Pauline and her team are all huge fans of the area and more than willing to share with guests their tips on the best places to visit, the unknown walks and the pleasant restaurants and bars worth discovering.
